Soulja Boy Imprisoned With One Count of Misdemeanor Obstruction

Soulja is charged with one count of misdemeanor obstruction for running from police when he'd been ordered to stop and has been freed from jail after posting a 550 dollars bond.

Teen rap sensation Soulja Boy was arrested in Georgia on Wednesday night, October 7 for running from police after being ordered to stop. According to Henry County Police Capt. Jason Bolton, someone made a call to authorities over concern that "a large group of juveniles" hung out at an abandoned house in the McDonough area of Atlanta.

When arriving at the scene, police found around 40 people standing in a dark backyard behind the house. And when the group saw the police, they immediately fled from the venue, ignoring the police's order to stop and stay where they were. Some people who stayed in the party told the officer that they were at the house for a "music video shoot."

19-year-old Soulja who eventually returned to the house to retrieve his white Range Rover tried to convince the police that he and his companion were really only assembled in order to film a music video. Unfortunately for Soulja that the officer didn't buy his story. "It was dark behind the house with no lighting," Capt. Jason confirmed. "If they were shooting, it was with no light. There was no mention of him seeing any camera or anything at all to do something like that."

As a result, Soulja was put behind bars with one count of misdemeanor obstruction for running from police when he'd been ordered to stop. The rapper was released on $550 bond on Thursday morning, October 8. Immediate comment is yet to be made by Soulja himself and his people regarding the arrest.
